@sage-staff: Have you considered to adopt Brunch in place of Gulp? It’s growing a lot (compare the amount of ‘stars’ on Grunt/Gulp/Brunch githubs). It has a logic a lot more simple than Grunt/Gulp and it will probably become the standard.

There are no plans to move away from Gulp at this time.
I also doubt there will ever be a time when there is a ‘standard’ as it’s an ever developing area.
Do you have a fork of Sage using Brunch?
No, but I use it outside Sage and I can say that’s better for me. More simple, more like install a skeleton and go. You could do a Sage skeleton. Then the users only have to enter a brunch new sage and that’s all.
