Currently Roots defaults to excerpting a set number of characters on the loop page for each post. For the site I’m working on, it would actually make more sense to display the whole post as is. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to change that behavior.

Change the_excerpt to the_content in the archive template
derp - I was looking at the wrong template. Although it was templates/content.php - I guess that’s the archive template?
Check the page and template php files in the root folder of the theme, that will show you which page is calling what content.
