# Controller @debug printing in plain text

I Set up a new theme (Sage 9.0.9) Recently. I’m running it locally in Local by Flywheel, its an environment that i pulled down from WPE. I installed Sage 9 using the composer command and have been working on it.

I was doing some Controller/ACF passing and wanted to see if i set up my ACF correctly. In previous Sage projects, i would walk through using @debug and @var\_dump but both are just outputting in plain text.

Is this a Blade issue?
