We’re looking for someone proficient in building WordPress sites, including using actions/hooks, developing custom plugins and building themes using Sage. Some smaller/legacy sites will be/are based on premium themes but our bigger clients aren’t and won’t be, so we’re not looking for someone to simply hack themes; we want someone who knows WordPress and who can build functionality in the Wordpress-y way.
We build our sites using Trellis/Bedrock, so we’re looking for someone comfortable with that or who has experience with the technologies behind it. We need someone with an eye for detail and who is happy to a) check their own work thoroughly and b) have their work checked and receive constructive feedback.
Strong understanding of the usual WP technologies are a must: PHP/HTML/CSS/JS
Experience in building Shopify sites and applications using Ionic/AngularJS is a plus. Ideally we’d like someone who gets excited about the idea of trying WP as a headless CMS with an Ionic/AngularJS frontend.
You will be sharing projects with a UK based developer and communicating with the rest of the (Aus based) team and clients through Slack, so good communication and concise handovers are a must!
