Does .circleci need to be versioned? I can't see it in roots-example-project.com repo and its not gitignored

There are two .circleci directories, one in /trellis and another in /site.

.circleci is there as part of our own testing/development process: it’s not required for any part of the Roots stack to work. You can remove those folders if they bother you.
