We’re a social impact strategy + design agency building custom WordPress platforms and are expanding our freelance developer bench for upcoming 2026 work.

We’re looking for developers who are genuinely comfortable in the Roots ecosystem — not just WordPress theme customization.

**Our typical stack:**

Bedrock project structure

Sage (Blade templating)

Laravel Acorn

ACF Pro (field groups defined in PHP via Composer)

Custom Gutenberg blocks

React (functional components/hooks)

TailwindCSS (v3/v4)

Modern tooling (Vite, Bud, or Webpack)

Composer + npm/yarn

Git feature branches + CI/CD

Pantheon (multidev workflows)

**You’ll thrive here if you:**

Prefer structured SOWs and milestone-based builds

Write clean, maintainable code

Think in systems (not quick fixes)

Communicate clearly about tradeoffs

Have agency experience

Project-based (10–30 hrs/week depending on scope). EST overlap preferred. Max budget $75/hour  
Individual freelancers only — not dev shops.  
U.S.-based independent contractors (W-9 required).
