I just started a new project yesterday.
I used Bedrock for the base setup and then installed roots as a theme.
I used composer to build all the dependencies.
Everything is working… however my media uploads now end up in /web/app/uploads
Media used to load up into /media folder.
Has that changed recently or have I misconfigured something?
It changed a while ago. That’s new default which is also the WP default. It’s just easier this way.

Its kind of weird that the /media folder is still being created. I don’t recall if it was Bedrock or Roots that created the folder. Might be worth someone checking on that.
It was Roots, and it was removed at the end of last year.
