How to start off with clean history in git remote repo

hi,

i just have quick question about roots and git hub.

at the moment i’m cloning from the roots.io homepage to a local repo, setting everything up and then pushing back up to the remote repo in preparation for the start of a project.

the only problem is i can’t seem to remove the previous commit history as well as the contributors – at the time of writing this its 1044 commits and 98 contributors. its not a big deal but is there anything i should be doing to start off with a completely clean remote repo with no commits and contributors?

kind regards.

Please try to keep this forum to Roots and Bedrock related issues only. That being said, deleting the .git folder will remove the entire history so you can start afresh with git init ..
