Is it generally good practice to add the ip of your server as a redirect to the actual domain?

Currently the ip address of my production site just returns a ‘didn’t send any data’ error. Is it good practice to have this redirect to the actual domain of the site in question? In this case I am using ssl so would I then put the actual redirect in my wordpress_sites setup?

I would leave it as-is. I don’t see any benefit. If anything: when people masscan the internet for port 80 it would be best if that IP didn’t return anything.
