We get a lot of questions about how to work on or take over an existing Sage project, so I thought we should write down the best way to get started on this process:

This should get most people going on most Sage projects. There will always be edge cases, and situations where a theme has been customized to the point where these docs won’t apply, but in most cases this should be a good reference.
