Sage and WooCommerce

Just a quick question. I’m going to use WooCommerce in my Sage theme, but WooCommerce tells me the theme isn’t “ready”. A google search leads me to this guide: https://roots.io/using-woocommerce-with-sage/

The article is written in august 2013, so I wonder if it still count as the right solution?
