Security plugin in bedrock

Does a security plugin like ithemes security work well with bedrock?
Do you recommend any?

iThemes Security plugin will write the wp-config.php file to add the define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ); upon activation, this may cause errors. Remember that on a production environment the define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ); is already declared so you don’t need the plugin to do that. Other than that, if you disallow this feature or clean the plugin code added to wp-config.php I don’t see any other reason why it shouldn’t work.
