Standard custom post types / custom meta

I wasn’t really sure where to post this so looking for suggestions to see if it already exists or if it even a good idea.

I think it would be useful for to standardize wordpress custom post types / custom post meta that developers used in themes with the same naming conventions and fields. It would help when moving from one theme/framework to the next. I currently use Advanced Custom Fields but have also used some of the alternatives like Redux.

I would imagine that many of these might mimic the conventions/naming that is already setup for standard micro-formats / semantic markup.

Great examples would be testimonials, companies, person, etc.

Can someone please tell me if this is already being done somewhere?

This conversation is a good one to have. I have been using hardcoded custom post types and ACF in conjunction but I’m curious what others do.
