Update Sage based theme via WordPress

Is there a way to push theme changes using the WordPress native theme update procedure?

We have a theme installed in multiple clients and want to be able to push updates via WordPress. Is this possible?

Will this compile the theme and upload only the necessary files?

You would have to use some kind of CI for that I think. I’m not positive though.
