If vagrant destroy is an option and won’t cost you a ton of time or money then that’s likely your best bet. You could backup your themes/ and uploads/ directories and your database file then after you destroy the vm nuke the entire dir and your hosts file to clear out any remnants, then start over and restore your content from your backups.
