Since Sage is a starter theme, there is no way to update to the latest verision (without losing code).
My question: Will the Sage theme always be compatible with future Wordpress updates?
Always is a big word, but I’m confident to say yes, Sage will always be compatible with future WordPress updates.
Sage has always been “ahead of the curve” as far as WordPress development goes. I’d say it’s more a matter of waiting for WordPress to catch up with Sage, rather than worrying about Sage keeping up with Core. That’s been my experience at least.
