Hello! I am new to Sage.
How can I added a new ‘above footer’ widget area?

General WordPress theme development questions are better directed to a more general forum, like StackOverflow, but broadly speaking, in Sage, you would register a new sidebar in app/setup.php.

And then call the new sidebar in the correct template, like Sage does in resources/views/sections/footer.blade.php
