eCommerce Web Developer (Contract)
We are seeking a seasoned Web Developer with eCommerce experience and developing online web stores utilizing scalable REST APIs. The ideal candidate will have experience developing modern web interfaces and scalable back-end services to create user-friendly online web stores.
Candidate Responsibilities
• Develop back-end storefront services utilizing Microsoft Azure and PlayFab which cleanly integrate with web front-end experiences
• Gather and refine technical specifications and requirements based on project needs
• Write clean and concise code that conforms to modern best practices
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Assist developers creating custom and sometimes complex community-focused WordPress-based websites associated with Xbox and PC game titles
Skills and Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience building websites, backend web services, or storefronts
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Comfortable utilizing inspector and web development debugging tools
• Cross-browser and device development testing
• Experience with change control and code versioning tools, specifically Git
• Confident working with databases such as SLQ/MySQL and writing queries
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Bonus skills
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing eCommerce storefronts
• Experience building back-end cloud-based services
• Microsoft Azure Experience
• PlayFab and Game Services Experience
• Previous experience building large scale client facing web applications backed by a service-oriented architecture
