Has anyone had a problem when pushing for production on Git and having to re-save permalinks on WP?

So every time I push to production from git i have to go to Permalink Setting and resave or else all my pages get a 500 error except for the homepage. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

I have a similar issue on one specific site. I ended up with adding an invocaiton to wp CLI tool to update the permalinks on each deploy (bedrock/trellis setup).

That might be related with pushing .htaccess - depending on what you have in your file that may or may not affect permalinks.
