jQuery Migrate is not loaded with roots?

The default WordPress 3.6 install adds jQuery Migrate, which is a jQuery plugin used to ease the transition to newer versions of jQuery.

I noticed that sites built using roots do not include this script, is there a reason why? Is it safe to add the script back in myself? Shouldn’t it be included in future versions?

It’s completely safe to add back in and you should if you need it. We’d rather leave it out by default and leave it to you to decide.
