I installed Wordpress from this guide and now I’m trying to import pages from another site using the default Wordpress importer tools. It’s asking for ftp credentials on my local install which I assume it’s referring to localhost, Of course, my localhost doesn’t have ftp credentials so I’m wondering what’s wrong here?
IIRC WP asks for FTP credentials when the PHP user doesn’t have permissions to the upload folder. You may want to make sure the user you’re running PHP as has the correct permissions.
