New to Sage: Controllers Equivalent?

Hey all,

I’m new to sage, but not new to Laravel. I’m wondering what the equivalent to controllers are for when I need to pull up specific information based on request parameters.

I’m creating a Program Search page that takes the request parameters and filters all posts of a specific post-type. I could do it in the blade file, but that feels awful. What’s the right way to pass data into a blade template? I’m looking for the suggested equivalent of MVC Controllers.

Take a look at View Composers in Sage WordPress Theme | Sage Docs | Roots

Sounds good. I thought that might be what I should use, but I don’t tend to use Composers very often in Laravel. Thanks!
