Roots Share Buttons extension request

Hi all,

If you are not using Roots Share Buttons already, go visit this page and get yourself (and your visitors) a lightweight, and easy to use Social button plugin… :slightly_smiling:

I am wondering if anyone tried to extend Roots Share Buttons with a WhatsApp button?
That would be very cool… @ben, would that be possible?

Thanks Steven! Right now the plugin doesn’t support a way to easily extend it for other networks/buttons, although it wouldn’t require much modification to the core files

You could throw the necessary markup in a custom share buttons template file

Hi Ben,
I’m not a ninja developer but I will give it a try… :sweat_smile:. Give me Photoshop, Illustrator, and a Wacom tablet instead and magic might happen. I’ll keep you posted
