"There doesn't seem to be a wp-config.php file."

Hey all,

I’m trying to get Roots installed locally for the first time. I’ve setup MAMP, installed Node and Grunt, and am attempting to activate this beautiful theme and begin editing. When I browse to http://localhost:8888/ I get this error:

There doesn't seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started.

Need more help? We got it.

You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn't work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.

I’m tempted to take the seemingly easy way out and click the “Create configuration file” at the bottom of the page, but am worried this could mess up my as-of-now clean environment.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciate!
David

Thanks Chris, problem solved. Sorry to muddy up the roots forum!
