trellis v1.32.0 released

What’s Changed

PHP packages now come from packages.sury.org

Trellis now installs PHP from packages.sury.org instead of the ppa:ondrej/php Launchpad PPA. Ondřej Surý maintains both, but now points users to packages.sury.org, and a change to the PPA’s metadata caused an interactive [y/N] prompt during apt update on existing servers (#1678).

The PHP role now removes the old PPA source and key, installs the packages.sury.org signing key (verifying its fingerprint), and adds the new repository. (#1680) @faisalahammad

Ansible compatibility

  • Set the default Ansible Python interpreter to /usr/bin/python3, which silences interpreter discovery warnings (#1665) @retlehs
    • This lives in group_vars/all/main.yml, so existing projects need to add ansible_python_interpreter: /usr/bin/python3 themselves.
  • Use ansible_facts instead of injected ansible_* fact variables (#1672) @swalkinshaw
  • Remove the unsupported use param from the Nginx service task, which fails on ansible-core 2.20+ (#1674) @swalkinshaw
  • Fix jinja2-in-conditional deprecation warning in the users sudoer assert (#1675) @swalkinshaw
  • Rename the connection probe task to reflect its actual purpose (#1676) @swalkinshaw
