Vanilla Roots search box not working with dynamic home page

Hello,

I have installed a fresh roots basic theme, and when using get_search_form(); in index.php the search box appears, but when a user submits a search term the page just refreshes and no search results are shown,

What am i doing wrong?

Not able to reproduce this. Are you on the latest version of Roots and WP 3.6.1?
