What is the standard way naming project domains?

So during the install walkthrough, the installer asks for the development url - which I’ve always assumed is a traditional url dev ( i.e. project.test, project.local, or something similar ). I don’t believe it ever asks for the live url.

When pushing live, what is the way to make sure everything is pointing to the live domain?

Is it to manually edit the config files and wordpress url in the admin area once live, or is there an additional configuration attribute to set the live url in dev? I seems like something that exists and I just haven’t found it.

I’m not sure exactly what you mean but for Sage development url is only needed for browsersync to work, so it’s irrelevant in production.

Okay, I didn’t know the URL was only used for browser sync. I thought it had other uses as well.
