Where to place Meta tags

Hello!

I can’t figure out where to place my meta tags in roots. I google the issue but found no answer only general Wordpress theme that says you can enter your meta tags in index.php. But this does not work for roots theme. I’m wondering in which file do I place my meta tags when using roots starter theme.

Why not look through some of the theme files and try to figure it out? If I wanted to know I would probably search for existing project files that already have meta tags…
