WP CRON has been disabled?

With recent () version of WooCommerce I get this message in backend:

Note: WP CRON has been disabled on your install which may prevent this update from completing.

is WP CRON now enabled in Bedrock+Trellis setup?
Does this error indicate something went wrong with the cron setup?

I had the same, but the cron jobs did run in the end. I think the message indicates that the WP cron is disabled, however Trellis uses the system cron for this
